Latest Craft

This is a picture frame with a scrapbook piece of paper behind it.  Than you just write your menu on the glass with dry erase marker so its easy to change every week.  You can tell Matt made some of the menu=)

Wow

It's been a while since I updated.  That is because life has been purely crazy and chaotic for us.  Andrew is still having issues with not feeling well and having the choking feeling, he threw up again this past Thursday.  The doctor wants him to go in for a CAT Scan before sending him to a gastro doctor but we aren't sure how we feel about that.  He didn't get knocked out when he hit his head and from what he describes to us it really sounds like acid reflux but than you hate to ignore it because there are always the "what ifs".  We have been doing Maalox all weekend and he did wake up last night saying he felt like he was choking but we also ate pizza for dinner so it could be that.  Poor little guy!  We are all losing sleep and suffering so I hope we can figure this thing out soon.

Friday was our anniversary, 9 happy awesome years!!!  Really we couldn't be happier or more in love, we have such great kids and our life together is amazing, I can't say enough good things!  My Mom babysat and we went to Steak on a Stone, really yummy and such a fun night!

Saturday we met my Dad, Kathy, Grandma and Grandpa for breakfast, that was a lot of fun.  At night Ange, Roger and Tanner came over and we ordered pizza and hung out talking and laughing all night, good times!

Today Ethan is at his best friends birthday party and we are all relaxing.  I love Sundays because we can chill out and take it easy but than I hate it because the next day is Monday and everyone leaves and I miss them while they are gone.

19 months old

Brady turned 19 months old on Sunday.
Those are his 3D glasses his brothers brought home from the movie for him.  Its hard to take his picture anymore because he always wants to see it while you are trying to take it.

Matt and Ethan ran to the store and came home with this lovely Valentine's present and some combs for me.  Ethan picked the combs out because mine are broke, such a good heart that kid has! He was trying to get Andrew to go in the basement to fill out my card from them and he told Matt that I was going to figure him out because he couldn't stop smiling, that kid is so sweet!!!

We had their Valentine's Day parties at school yesterday, fun fun!  Afterwards we met our friends Andrea, Kody and Khloe at Chick-Fil-A to play and eat dinner since Matt is in Palm Beach, boo - alone on Valentine's Day!  But it was fun and Brady got to experience his first play land.
He had a lot of fun!

The boys had dress up day at school today.  Ethan originally picked out a white shirt, tie and jacket but changed his mind.  And Drew chokes if his shirt is buttoned up at the neck so don't mind his tie all the way down there, they are still adorable!

We met our friends at the mall to walk and play today and than took a trip to Pat Catan's after.  I was finally able to make a craft again after being burnt out by that darn conversation heart plant!
My new favorite.  Scrapbook paper cut into leaves and glued to a canvas.  We are going to hang it in the office, and by we I mean Matt.  He hates hanging things and I refuse but I already warned him when he gets home it goes up.  Love you baby!!!

Weekend

Friday everyone finally went to school and did what they were supposed to do. I breathed a heavy sigh of relief when the day was over and they made it all day. It was my Great Grandma's 94th birthday so after stopping over at my Grandpa's house to drop off some frozen meals I made, Brady and I picked up lunch and took it to Gram along with her frozen meals. We had a nice visit and than headed home at nap time. Uncle Aaron and Uncle Mike took Ethan and Andrew to see Star Wars 3D at night time, they were so excited all day for it. Once they got home Matt and I headed out for some sushi.

Saturday we finally got a bunch of snow so the boys played outside while Matt plowed the driveway. We had our neighbors 18th birthday party at night time that we went to.

Sunday we relaxed during the day and than our friends Justin and Jamie had 4 families over for a pizza/Valentine's Day party. So much fun, the boys didn't want to leave. We ate way too much food and enjoyed some adult conversations.

Crying

Funny, someone just asked if others cry easily like at the drop of a hat and how embarrassing it is and that really hit home. I don't know why but I do cry a lot. And it doesn't matter if it's a happy occasion, or sweet, or sad, I just cry. For example Ethan walked over to Matt the other day saying how much he loved him and kissed him, I cried. The boys conferences with their teachers, even though it's all good news, I am teary eyed and trying to cover it up. I can't even watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition anymore, it turns me into a blubbering mess. Oh and now that show The Voice, has me in a steady stream of tears.

I remember my Grandma crying at church every week when I was younger so I shall blame her. I like to think I am tough, and I am. I don't like nonsense and I am confrontational but still I am a big old baby when it comes to certain things. Anything that has to do with my kids for sure has me breaking down. When Drew had his accident last week, forget it, I couldn't hold it together at all.

So there ya have it, I cry a lot, it is what it is.

Brady's 18 month check up

Man, that kid does NOT like the doctors office. He caught on quick around 9 months old that it isn't fun and games there. He cries the minute we get in the room and doesn't stop until we leave, which is a lot of fun for me (no). I mean even getting weighed, checking his heart, the whole thing is so traumatic for him. Oh and don't forget all the shots, poor stinker!

But anyway, he is doing great! Right on track with all the milestones and still a bitty bitty boy. 23 lbs. 12 oz. - 10th percentile for weight. 33 1/2 inches - 75th percentile for height. His head is in the 50th, I never pay attention to the measurement on that. So he has been consistent this whole time, taller and skinny, like his brothers.

And once we leave that office he is back to his sweet happy little self. I think Matt should take him to his 2 year checkup, don't you?

Rough week

Let's see, where did I last leave off? Oh yes, Drew getting staples in his head. Since then it's been nothing but fun and games here, insert sarcasm here!

Saturday morning we were woken up to Drew throwing up at 5 a.m. He was fine the rest of the day. I was worried it was a concussion but it was so long after the blow to his head that we weren't sure what was going on, plus it's stomach bug time so we were readying ourselves to all get it. Sunday morning he woke up at 1 a.m. and threw up. He seemed fine the rest of the day but I kept him home Monday to be safe. Tuesday woke up and had it coming out the other end (sorry) so home again. Wednesday good to go so back to school. This morning woke up at 4 and threw up.

Ok, I am no doctor but this does not sound like a stomach bug to me. I took him to the doctor today and we are going to treat him for acid reflux for a week and see if that helps. He says he feels like he is choking right before and this happened about a year ago 3 different times close together so hopefully we can get this thing under control. Poor kid though, can't catch a break. He got his staples out today too, he did not like that but stayed strong and didn't cry. I just feel so bad for him and hoping the medicine works. The good news is he is happy as can be, playing, eating and drinking, so at least he isn't miserable.

The dreaded call from school

You see it's the school calling and your heart drops to your stomach, who is sick, hurt, in trouble? And normally it starts with everything is fine but so and so isn't feeling well or whatever. Not today :( Drew was being chased and fell into a bookshelf. They don't know how bad it is because they can't get the bleeding under control. Thankfully we live 2 minutes from the school so I was there in a flash. His teacher was a mess, crying and apologizing profusely, poor thing! We have an emergency room in Brunswick so I took him right there. They wanted to do stitches but I didn't think he could handle sitting there that long so they numbed him and he got 7 staples to his scalp. The shot was the worst part, luckily they blocked me and Brady from having to watch any of it. The doctor was trying to be nice and gave Drew a dinosaur but Drew told him he hates dinosaurs and I didn't feel like arguing with him at the moment that he should be polite and accept the gift anyway. Besides, he was probably more mad that this guy just shot staples into his head, I wouldn't want a gift either from him. His teacher sent me an email saying how horrible she feels and all the kids are so sad. It was the 100th day of school celebration so he is bummed about missing that but is happily watching TV and relaxing after picking up some McDonald's. I think I am finally breathing normal again too. But hey, 8+ years of raising boys and this is our first major boo-boo, not too shabby!

Busy week

Monday we had our usual playgroup, Erin hosted this week.  It's so nice to see the kids playing together and getting along so well.  I am glad we start this early on so they know how to interact with each other.  Tuesday back to LuluLemon to return a purchase and than we met Aaron at Zoup for lunch.  Their lobster bisque is delicious!  Wednesday we went to the mall to walk again, super fast walking again and I felt really good after.  I know this sounds horrible, walking makes me feel good but of course I have been slacking on the working out again so it really is a workout for me.  At night I went to my friends house for freezer meal swap.  I don't participate anymore but I haven't seen her in months so went to catch up and eat some yummy snacks.  Thursday was dedicated to crafting.  I have gone to Pat Catan's every day this week because I keep forgetting bits and pieces to my next craft so I finally finished it.
This one was really easy.  They already have the words together so I just painted them and put them on the canvas. We are going to hang them in the office.

This one was a nightmare!!!  I am really happy with how it turned out but there is so much that goes into it that you just can't see.  Ugh!  But it's cute!  The plan was to make 2 of them but no way, I will save the next one for Easter where I saw some people puts candy eggs and other use Peeps, not sure what I will do yet but I definitely need a break after this one.

Tonight I am getting my hair chopped off, short.  Well, we will see.  Matt likes it short, its been a long time since I have gone short, like pre-engagement long so we will see how brave I am.  I told Amy (hairdresser) we will go slow in case I start panicking about it.  Wish me luck!
